Who should I contact to discuss the inclusion of a Richard Hunt artwork in an exhibition?

In addition, the Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation is considered the authority on Richard Hunt's artworks and career. We collaborate with museums and galleries to provide archival research on exhibition history of artworks, literature references, and biographical information on the artist to complement your exhibition focus. Please contact us to discuss your exhibition needs.
Who should I contact to request permission to use an image of Richard Hunt or his works of art?
All licensing requests for Richard Hunt artworks and archival photographs for publication or reproduction must be reviewed by the Richard Hunt Estate through Artists Rights Society (ARS).

How do I access the Richard Hunt Archive?
The Getty Research Institute (GRI) acquired Richard Hunt's archive in 2022. The GRI is currently processing more than 800-linear feet of files, a multi-year project.
Access to a portion of the Richard Hunt Digital Archives, housed online through the Foundation, may be requested by contacting us with your specific needs.
How may I donate materials or share research information related to Richard Hunt?
The Richard Hunt Archive welcomes donations of relevant archival materials. Individuals interested in donating books, letters, photographs, ephemera, or similar research materials should contact us.
What catalogues and publications are available on Richard Hunt?
Please visit our Publications Page for a current listing of available catalogues and publications. Other out-of-print publications may be available on third-party sites.
Do you accept in-kind donations of Richard Hunt artworks?
Yes, we accept Richard Hunt artworks (sculpture and two-dimensional works), upon review and approval by our Board of Directors. The Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and such donations are considered tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Please contact us with information about the artwork you wish to donate, including title, year, dimensions, and other pertinent provenance or exhibition-related information.
Do you assist with the placement or relocation of Richard Hunt artworks?
We have a broad network of museums and cultural institutions and may be able to assist with placement of Richard Hunt sculptures. Please contact us with a description of the work, including title, year, dimensions, current location, and the reason for needing to place or relocate the artwork.
Who should I contact regarding conservation of my Richard Hunt work of art?

No. Neither the Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation nor any of its affiliates offer authentication or attribution services for artwork.
Does the Foundation donate Richard Hunt artworks to charity auctions or functions?
No. Neither the Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation nor any of its affiliates donate works of art for charitable auctions or events.
How can I submit a Richard Hunt artwork to the Richard Hunt Catalogue Raisonné?
The Richard Hunt Legacy Foundation invites owners of Richard Hunt sculptures and two-dimensional works to submit their artworks for consideration in the Richard Hunt Catalogue Raisonné. Please be assured that all submitted information will be treated with confidentiality. Completion of the form does not guarantee inclusion in the Catalogue Raisonné.
